New jacket design for FALSE MERMAID... The moody picture looks exactly like the wild and craggy coast of southwest Donegal, where part of the latest story is set. I'm going to have lots of fun putting people in the frame of mind for this story, which involves shape-shifting and disguises, disturbing questions about truth and falsehood, and a really great song, An Mhaighdean Mhara/The Mermaid.

If you've got a fast Internet connection, I can join your book club discussion via Skype. One of these days, I'll break down and get a web camera, so we can do video chats. The only real downside is that everyone would see how disorganized my office usually is...

Scribner will publish FALSE MERMAID in March 2010...
It's been a long time, but Nora and Cormac will return next spring in FALSE MERMAID (#3 in the Nora Gavin/Cormac Maguire series). In the meantime, I'm already working on Book Four, set back in the Irish bogs.
