A Special Note to Book Clubs
I've visited dozens of local book clubs since Haunted Ground came out in 2003and made contact with even more readers across the country with the help of a speaker phone or instant messages. It's always a great experience, so I wanted to extend an offer to book clubs everywhere. Invite me to your book club meeting, and I'll be delighted to join in your discussion about any or all of my books.
Really.
Paddy and I have recently joined the author listings at Togather.com, a website that helps readers and booksellers bring authors to their book clubs, libraries, bookstores and other venues. Anyone can propose an event at Togather.com. They call the idea 'fansourcing,' and it works a little like crowdfunding ideas like Kickstarter or Groupon.
When you propose an event, you can invite people and keep track of RSVPs, and if enough people sign up (or buy books or tickets), the event goes forward, and the author you've invited can join you in person at a local venue, or from anywhere in the US via interactive technology like Skype or Google Hangout or Spreecast.
Here's handy little widget that can help you get started...
I'm available to join your book club by phone anywhere in the U.S. or Canada, or anywhere in the world via Skype.
To set something up, just contact me directly here.

Of course, the published discussion questions are only suggestionsyou may have your own. We can also talk about how the novels came about, the landcape and culture of Ireland (especially the bogs and all the riches found there), the road to publication, and lots more.
Looking forward to our chat!
